 11 Months
It's all happening too fast. I know all moms say that and people are like bla bla bla we get it. Seriously though I swear I was just pregnant and we just had a newborn and now my baby is a few weeks away from one. I feel like there is this weird mix being a mom. I want my baby to stay little and small and cuddly forever and then I find myself just counting down until the next big phase or stage in her life. It's like I want a newborn to snuggle all day long but then I am so excited for her first day of kindergarten and backpacks and pigtails.
Vi's personality comes out more and more every day. Here are her updates for 11 months

No teeth
Standing and walking around as long as she has a hand to hold. She has started shuffling from one object to the next very slowly. She is super timid with standing on her own
Sat up in her crib for the first time
Eats everything. Pretty much anything Mike and I have for dinner Violet eats. Some of her new favorite foods are soup, hummus and beets. She has a preference for which order she eats things. So she will point to the one that she wants and when she feels like a change she points to the next thing.
She is our mocking bird. She copies all the time. She can now tell you what a dog says. She can ask for more and say Dada and Grandma( mamma) her two favorite people. If you say a word or sounds and ask her to say it she will try and copy it.
She waves hello and goodbye and claps after you tell her to. Before she would copy us doing the motion and now she associates it with the word.
She can point to your nose and play peek a boo and is slowly learning patty cake.
She is going through a screaming phase. It's really fun...or not. She isn't mad while she screams it's more that she just likes to hear herself. I on the other hand would prefer not to hear it.
She loves her books. Every morning while I clean up breakfast and make our bed ,I set up Vi with a pile of books and she will just sit and look at them. She has her favorites and when she wants you to read one she will point at you and and make a noise and then point to her books. I will then walk her over and she shows me the book she wants to read.
She loves her little table that she stands at. It has buttons for music and things she can press and flip. She asks to play with it all the time.
She thinks she is really funny. She knows she isn't suppose to drop her zippy cup from her highchair. So she looks at you and smiles and then dangles it over the edge. Then if you say no or give her "the look" she drops it and makes this coy face. She is a rascal.

She is such a fun girl and she is a really fast learner. I took these pictures the other day in a field across the street from our house. She was not in the best mood but luckily playing with Dad brightened her spirits a bit. Yes, she is still totally obsessed with him. She cried the other day when he left for school so we decided to go eat lunch on campus with him. These will show how she loves to stand and how she loves to be with her dad. She is a huge blessing in our little family.
 We love you Vi girl.

Showing us where daddy's nose is
Watching the airplanes fly over the field. We live right by a small airport

This is a gorgeous quilt my mom made Mike and I when we got married. I love it!

After being set down from standing. Yes apparently it was the end of the world

Although this looks similar to the last picture she is indeed laughing...really hard
she is the gummiest baby out there. I mean look at those things!!

She thinks he is pretty hilarious.

Utah Trips

These two are just the cutest

 Couldn't you just eat him?

Clearly I have no idea why she started yelling
Love that Jaynie girl
twirling with my best girl friend
Always asking if he can kiss Vi

I guess Vinny hugs a little too hard for Vi and I guess I am a mean mom for laughing

So I realized all my pictures from our Utah trips have been taken on my parent's camera. I decided while I am home again I will take the time to blog about everything while I have the pictures. Our trips to Utah have been a blast. Here is pretty much a list of all the things we did.

1- Swimming in Grandma and Grandpa's pool pretty much every day.
2- Going down to the BYU book store and Slab pizza
3. Play dates at our cousin's house and even a half sleepover while the parents played games
4- A trip to the Provo Rec center to go swimming in the indoor swimming area
5- A trip up to Grandpa Reid's house to have dinner and meet Jack
6- Meeting up with the Smith's for Peach shakes
7- Lunch with Devon at Cafe rio
8- Cookie Sale for Acacia shade and meeting up with the Waltons
9- Watching a BYU football game and going to the outlets
10- Date nights and temple trip for Mike and I
11- 2 visits to Great Grandma Reid and Great Grandma and Grandpa Magleby
12- Meeting Eddy the Puppy and visiting Great Aunt Traci and cousins.
13- Frankie's baby blessing and evening in the park
14- Splash Pad with the cousins
15- Bow show
16- Walk with grandma to see the Animals at Wunderlands
17-Eating at all our favorite places
18- Swimming with the Silvas and Cousins for Labor Day

This week has mostly been hanging out with cousins, going to Max's soccer game, a BYU football game and having a birthday celebration for me. I also got to go to an event called the Handmade creative for business owners of handmade things. My mom and Dayna and I went to Austenland. It has been another super fun trip and if I end up taking more pictures this week I will be sure to post them . For now here are just a ton of pictures of our trips.

Awww young love

I think it is safe to say this girl loves the pool. She is always happy when she is in the water

Our Vi is 10 Months

The point

When Vi is done trying to go somewhere she leans
over like this and just lays there

Seriously she is obsessed with him

Right after she hit her face on Mike's collar bone.

Vi girl is 10 months old. This summer has kind of gotten away from me. We were in Utah for 3 weeks and sick for a week and busy with all kinds of things. I missed Vi's 9 month update so I am trying to play catch up. I have been waiting to get some pictures of her for this post but she has been sick for over a week with puffy eyes and a runny nose and goopy stuff everywhere. So I thought I would give her some time so she could feel like herself. Here are all the new things our sweetie pie has been up to.

-Still no crawling
-Still no teeth
-Waves hello and goodbye
-Does the "how big is Violet" trick
-She points at anything she wants or places she wants to go or lights
-She fake laughs and coughs. She is more likely to do it if she is copying you.
-She says mama and dada
-She loves thermostats
-She can stand and hold herself up without help
-She twirls her hands and feet when she is excited
-She is obsessed with animals and especially dogs. She tries to lick them back and squeals with excitement when they come by her. She seriously has no fear.
-Loves the water and is good at getting dunked under and has gotten much better at laying on her back. She could live in the pool
-Her favorite things to eat are mandarin oranges, applesauce, bread, sweet potatoes, cheerios, cheese and yogurt.
-She is good with a sippy cup
-Love love loves her daddy. After a day of being sick and sleeping the day away with no smiles, all it took was dad coming home and her face lights up. She honestly adores him.
- She is our content little thing. She is happy to sit and play. People comment a lot on how mellow and mild mannered she is. We kind of think that's why she hasn't crawled yet. I think she is just content sitting in her own little spot playing with her toys. I'm in no rush so this is fine by me
-She has tiny feet and only weighs 17 pounds. She is not our super chubbers anymore.
-Her hair is really starting to fill in. It is a golden color. Not really blond but not brown either. Her eyes are a hazel color( brown green and gray mix). She has olive skin and some sweet fat roll tan lines.
- She rocks back and forth when she hears music.
- Sleeps like a champ and still takes 2 good naps a day
- Starting to really love her binky so we are working on that one.

She is our little joy and I can't believe we are getting so near to her 1st birthday. She really brings so much happiness to the family. I constantly find myself thinking what would I do if I didn't have this sweet girl. I miss the time I am away from her and I love getting to be there for all her new stages. We love our sweet Vi girl.
