Gingerbread Time

This year was the year that my mom and I decided to go all out with the gingerbread house. We changed the pattern added a potting shed and outdoor fireplace. We incorporated stone work with chocolate rocks and we even busted out the fondant. It was so much fun but it was about a 3 to 4 day process to get the whole thing put together. It even has a light inside that you can turn on at night to shine through the hardtack candy windows. Merry Christmas!

It reminded me of a class I took in High School. They gave us a pattern and we did stain glass windows by melting hard candies inside the cut shape in the gingerbread. I loved looking at all the details. You and your mom have such a gift for detail and design. I am attempting to have Brent's work party at my home...wish you both were here for the gingerbread house activity with the families. We'll be using your great ideas!!! Carolee
