 Grace at One Year

Our Grace turned one and it has been so fun to see how much she has changed in just a few weeks. Grace has gotten very brave with her walking. She takes the walker back and forth as much as we will let her. She really loves it. She has gotten brave and has started to take a few steps on her own. She has picked up on animal noises a lot over the past few weeks.

Noises:
Mooo- cow
Baaaa- sheep
Ssss- snake
Rarr Rarr- Lion
Meow- Cat
Ooo Oooo- Monkey
Ruff Ruff- Dog
Quack- Duck

She says Mama and Daddy and Pyper and Tate for names.
She says No for nose and can find her belly button, teeth, mouth, hair , nose and eyes.
She says baba for bottle, mi for milk, chee for cheese, and says please and thank you and nite nite and uh oh and all the other little phrases that she already said. She also says no no no and shakes her finger when she is doing something she knows she shouldn't.
She loves to go for walks, but she really loves for you to hold her hands and walk her around everywhere. She pretends to talk on the phone and tries to brush her teeth and hair. She loves dogs and always wants to pet them. She loves her giant panda pillow. She will lay on the floor and snuggle him and scoot around on her belly on top of him. She loves to look at books and will sit and read with me for a long time. She loves to chase/play with Vi. They really crack each other up and I love getting to see them become friends. She loves drinking milk and gets very excited if we ask her if she wants any. She still takes 2 naps. She goes to bed around 7:30-8:00 and wakes up around 7:00-7:30. She is so crazy loud. She really really loves to battle it out with Vi on who can be louder. It is very draining at times. She likes to dance to music and loves to do Patty Cake. She loves to mimic new words, especially when we are reading books. She is very chatty and says even more words than Vi did at her age. I think we have another pretty early talker on our hands. Grace demands a lot more of my attention at this age. She has gotten a bit clingy over the past couple weeks. Luckily she likes to play with Vi and that gives me my much needed space during the day. Grace is sweet and really loves people. We are lucky to have her in our family. She brings out the best in all of us. We took a little break during conference weekend and went to a neighborhood that we love in Ann Arbor. There were tons of these sweet purple flowers all over the grass. The girls likes picking them and getting out after a lot of time inside watching conference.
