a Blessing & a Name
While we were home in Utah for Christmas break we had Violet's blessing. My mom spent hours and hours making her dress and honestly it is stunning. She hand smocked the bodice and we designed the rest of the dress using left over lace from my wedding dress. It meant so much to me to have such a sentimental dress for her special day. I am in love with how it turned out and I hope it is something that will be used in our family for many years.
We were so lucky to have so much of Mike's family in town too. Both of his brothers drove up ( Doug and his family surprised us at the church on the day of the blessing). Mike's mom and sister also drove up for it. We felt so special that everyone would take the time to be there.
Mike gave Violet a beautiful blessing and it just confirmed the strong bond that they already share. Here is a serious picture overload from that day but I wanted to make sure we captured all the special details. My sister in-law Dayna took the most beautiful pictures for us. Honestly people in Utah looking for family photos you need to hit her up. She is so affordable and does such a great job!

Great pics Dayna! Also, Vi is THE CUTEST. She has such a sweet, innocent face. She always looks so calm and happy! You guys all look great! (the dress was so beautiful!) We miss you guys!
